Form & Function in the Sun Salutation

Sunday, February 19  9:00-11:00 am

at Northwest Yoga Conference

A technical and artistic approach to the heart of the Sun Salutation, team taught by yoga teacher Kara Keating and physical therapist Craig London. We will take a look at each posture and the connecting movements involved. Students will learn about the muscles and bones involved in the process, with attention to individual modifications. By the end of the workshop students will be performing a sun salutation that is both correct and inspiring. Suitable for all levels. Includes handouts.

Yoga Adventure Week in Costa Rica

 Luna Lodge on the Osa Peninsula

Join us for the trip of a lifetime to the Luna Lodge near Corcovado National park on the Osa Peninsula.located in the heart of the tropical rainforest, nestled up among the trees, looking out to the Pacific Ocean. We will greet each day with morning yoga on the open-air covered deck overlooking the hillside. After a delicious breakfast, guests are free to explore, head out on guided rainforest tours, hike down to the beach or nearby waterfall, or enjoy the Luna Spa. In the late afternoon we return to the deck for afternoon a variety of relaxing yoga classes including yin yoga, yoga nidra, restorative, and meditation.The Lodge is located up high, so there are hardly any insects! Enjoy this amazing place, great yoga, and good company. All yoga classes will be taught by Kara Keating and Shelley Dorland

Per person pricing includes Lodging, three meals each day, flight from San Jose to Carate, and transfers from Carate to Luna Lodge.

We are currently taking deposits, Spaces have been filling up, so if you want to go, make your deposit now. Checks are the preferred method, bring in to the studio or mail to PO BOX 293, Silvana, WA 98287. Checks should be made out to Movement Arts. Please make a request for your preferred lodging, the earlier your deposit is made, the better chance you get your desired lodging. If you do not already have someone to room with, we can match you up with a roommate.

Other expenses: your flight to San Jose, Costa Rica, one night hotel in San Jose, taxi to and from airport, optional tours, massages and other spa treatments, beverages other then coffee, tea, and water.
