"Connect
with yourself and the world around you."
Yoga appeals to those who want to improve stress management, focus, flexibility, strength, balance and endurance. Breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation skills are included in each class. The practice of yoga appeals to many because of its 'all in one' approach to physical, mental and spiritual health. Yoga is an ancient art and science, and offers benefits to all who choose to learn and practice. In today's stressful environment, yoga offers stillness, peace and energy renewal. Once learned, some form of yoga practice can be done just about anywhere, anytime, and at any stage in life.
Naga Yoga
for Beginners
This
class offers instruction for beginners and covers concepts such as: conscious
breathing, body awareness, positioning and proper alignment and form.
We begin by learning how to connect with prana (life energy) through
the breath. Opening sequence, sun salutations, standing postures (asana),
balances, seated postures, and rest and relaxation are all a part of the
instruction. After a period of time (which depends on the individual)
the student can participate in the Naga yoga practice classes. For people
who are seeking a gentle yoga class (pregnancy, chronic conditions, injuries),
they have the option to stay in Yoga for Beginners indefinitely. Private
lessons are also available for those who appreciate one on one attention.
No experience or appointment
is needed to attend.[More on Yoga
