Belly Dance Classes in Stanwood
Belly Dance with Astarte:
This class covers the essentials of belly dance with emphasis on grounding, stretching, and isolation for proper posture and movement, core-strengthening and endurance. Students will learn drills, combinations and basic choreography, accompanied by music from not only the Middle East, but Tribal cultures around the world. Astarte's classes are suitable for all ages and sizes. You are never too old, too young, too large, or too small to belly dance! Wear comfortable dance clothing. Hip scarves are a plus; you can bring your own or purchase one at the studio. Dance shoes are appropriate and bare feet are encouraged. You will work out all the way to your toes!
Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Choreography Class
More of a good thing! Tuesday evenings 8:30-9:00 pm with Astarte
New moves and combinations will build on the ground work established in the Basics class, with special focus on furthering muscle memory and strength with drills and more complex choreography. In this class you will dig deeper into your dancer's tool kit, find out what you have and what you need and learn how to influence both. Performance opportunities available with the ProFusion Tribal Student Troupe.
