Why Yoga? With regular practice, one is able to move, function, and breathe through life with more ease. Benefits of regular yoga practice includes improved strength, flexibility, focus and concentration, as well as balance, comfort, and a reduced stress-reaction. In the Basics/Gentle class, experienced, certified yoga teachers lead beginning students through the basics of yoga with attention to the specific needs of each student. The course includes breathing techniques and methods for safely stretching out and strengthening the body, using precise alignment and form. Each class ends with relaxation. Yoga is a great way to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle, feel good and enjoy the simple things in life. Yoga Basics/Gentle is suitable for all ages and no experience is needed to start.

The Yoga Basics/Gentle class is also designed for those who are healing from injuries or illness, during pregnancy, or other conditions that require a more gentle practice. One can stay in the basics/gentle class as long as desired. Eventually, one may choose to move into the Yoga for all levels classes.
