Hinanui (Natali Sterett)
Tahitian Dance Instructor
Hinanui comes from a rich Tahitian heritage of chiefs and priests. On her grandfather's side she is a descendant of the warrior Chief To'ofa, who led the revolution against French occupation in the 1800s. On her grandmother's side she is a descendant of the high priest Ahutoru, who was also the first Tahitian to go to Europe in 1769. In keeping with her heritage Hinanui has studied many of the Tahitian arts, only one of which is dance. She loves to share this part of her culture with all who are interested. Outside of dance class, she works as a sign language interpreter.
